September 13, South coast

As I have no university on Wednesdays Maja, Vani and me took off to see a bit of Icelands countryside. We went down along the south coast. There we stopped to see Seljalandsfoss. The great thing is that you can go around it and see if from behind!
We also stopped at Skogafoss. Above it we found a beautiful place at the riverbench where we had a picknick.


We continued to the beach near Vik. The weather turned very bad and the strong wind actually didn't allow us to drive up to the lighthouse. It would have blown our car off the road easily. But the force of the waves was extremely impressive - beautiful and powerful breakers!
