August 26th, East Iceland

Another waterfall (did you notice how many there are - a paradise for me) is Hengifoss (Hanging Falls). It is 120m high and sounds like a plane motor while thundering down. Halfway up there another smaller waterfall called Litlanesfoss, which is surrounded by spectacular basalt columns.
Close we also found a beautiful church and note: if you wanted to camp in the graveyard, it is forbidden! Just for those who wanted to camp in such an environment :o)

That night we booked ourselves in at the Youth Hostel in Husey. As we drove there fog came up and we drove for ages not knowing where we were. All we saw were sheep and flat moors. We already started to doubt that there was any civilisation out there when we noticed 3 buildings far far far away. At the end of the peninsula we found the cutest hostel ever!
