August 25th, North East
We also had a look at the very little known north east part of Iceland - one of my favourites. The deserted farms, lonely landscapes are beautiful! Especially the beaches with all the wood! Just breathtaking!
The lighthouse Hraunhafnartangi is the northernmost point of the Icelandic mainland - only 2.5km of the Arctic Circle.
The clouds hang in the mountains as if they were smoking - amazing atmosphere.
And in this moon like landscape the NASA took astronauts to practise their landing on the moon - to be in a moon like environment!
